Objective:
The IT Director is responsible for leading the information technology function of the company, shaping its future IT strategy, and managing the consolidation and transformation of IT systems and teams following the acquisition of multiple companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Strategy Development:
- Strong business understanding and focus on the impact of IT in the business results, growth and evolution.
- Define and communicate the company’s IT strategy and vision in alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Establish a roadmap for technology investments and digital transformation.
- Systems Transformation Program:
- Lead and oversee a comprehensive IT systems transformation program.
- Ensure seamless integration of IT systems and processes into a unified and efficient infrastructure.
- Manage large-scale projects related to system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
- Team Management and Development:
- Consolidate and lead a diverse IT team coming from different companies and cultures.
- Stablish an IT Organization focused on supporting the business and operational efficiency.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to the IT department.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the IT organization.
- Budget and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the IT department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Allocate resources efficiently to support business objectives and project priorities.
- IT Governance and Compliance:
- Stablish IT Governance for systems operations and evolution ensuring consolidated and scalable way of working, focus on results and efficiency.
- Implement effective IT policies and procedures to ensure security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and manage risks associated with IT operations.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with technology vendors, third-party service providers, and internal stakeholders to achieve project and service delivery goals.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key technology partners.
- Stablish outsourcing model in collaboration with the required internal areas in the company, to support an efficient IT Operating model
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Promote a culture of innovation, encouraging the IT team to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement in IT services, quality, and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Extensive experience in a senior IT leadership role, within the telecommunications industry, and in international and multicultural environment.
- Strong knowledge of passive and active infrastructure services, network technologies, and telecommunications systems.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex IT transformation projects and consolidations of systems platforms and IT teams/organizations.
- Excellent understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal abilities and open minded.
- English proficient.
