It Engineer

We're looking for an IT Support Engineer to play a pivotal role in the upkeep of our IT infrastructure. You'll work autonomously to deliver 1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support across our technology manufacturing facility.  This is a great opportunity to consolidate and develop your IT support skills, with ongoing training and the chance for international travel on occasion.
 
BASIC SALARY: Up to £35,000

JOB DESCRIPTION: IT Support Engineer, IT Infrastructure, 2nd Line Support Engineer
 
Managing and supporting our UK IT infrastructure, covering our 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for our internal users. You'll provide support to around 60 users in addition to our high-tech production facilities, ensuring the smooth day to day operation of our IT estate including all software, hardware and infrastructure.
 
As our IT Support Engineer you'll use our in-house ticketing system to prioritise your work load.  You'll monitor the performance of our network servers and clients, running scheduled updates as required.
 
You'll also:
· Active Directory, Servers Management (Windows and Ubuntu), SQL (SQL Server), Virtual Machines (VMware), Backups (Veeam), Documentation (Confluence)
· Microsoft Office 365 support and good knowledge of Windows operating systems 7+
· Assisting with General Software installation and network management,
· Network device management & installation such as printer servers, Laptops / Desktops, Switches, Firewalls, Raspberry Pi's. configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software
· Advanced in Windows 10 & 11
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: IT Support Engineer, IT Infrastructure, 2nd Line Support Engineer
 
You'll be part of a small on-site team supporting and solving technical issues across all user abilities, so your communication skills will be excellent. Managing your own workload and prioritising tickets will be a strong skill, but you'll have the support of our global IT support team, helping to ease your workload.
 
As well as being able to support with the technologies already mentioned it's likely that you'll have a demonstrable knowledge of some or all of the following:
· FIA framework, IT documentation control,
· PHP, Laravel, Python, C#, SSH
· Common Network Protocols, Tools and CLIs, GITHUB
· Lansweeper, Jira, Metabase, Meraki Cloud, Visual Studio Code and Azure Data Studio, SharePoint, Jupyter.
· Creating BI reports from company IT systems
· Management and enhancement of Cyber security systems.
