Job Profile for IT & Engineering Graduate - MC269032

IT & Engineering Graduate required for an engineering company based in Waltham Abbey. We are looking for a graduate with a technical degree to work at our Waltham Abbey location and help develop our technical, quality, health and safety and IT functions. The successful candidate would join our small team which provides support to our sales, production, shipping and quality functions.

The candidate should have a technical degree ( Engineering or Materials Science or IT are preferred but others are possible ) and should be interested in IT ( for example with CAD and Microsoft Access experience but training can also be provided in these areas.)

IT & Engineering GraduatePosition Overview

Administration and Development of Javelin

1. Implementation of Javelin for all sections
2. Processing and part entry using Javelin MRP software
3. Creation of Reports by querying databases
4. Creation and Administration of Quality Reports including material test reports
5. Assist with development projects
6. FAI inspection reports and maintenance and development of system
7. Download of drawings from customer web sites and operation of customer portals
8. Preparation of dxf and die files for production and preparation of nesting lay-outs
9. Preparation of part cutting instructions for production equipment
10. Operate in accordance with NewMet quality and health & safety procedures
11. Assist in other departments as instructed providing that sufficient training has been received
12. Provide training for staff within your department as instructed
13. Maintenance and Development of Test Report system.
14. Assist with company quality and health and safety systems as required
15. Maintain Approved Supplier List
16. Internal IT support ( work with external IT support.)
17. IPR reporting
18. Answer telephone

• Salary dependent on experience likely circa £30k
• Hours of Work - Monday to Friday 8.30 - 4.30 with 30 minutes for lunch
