The Role

As an IT Governance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining robust processes and governance frameworks within the IT department. This will ensure compliance with relevant regulations, internal risk frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with key stakeholders across various departments including:
- Technology
- Risk
- Security
- Audit
- Finance
You will champion best practices in incident management, change management, problem management, asset management, tech risk management, and request management.
Responsibilities include:
- Facilitate and review audit observations, liaising with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance and address findings.
- Provide technical oversight of risk management and MAPS, ensuring timely completion of action points.
- Deliver governance, risk, and compliance data insights to drive IT system improvements.
- Create management information for stakeholder reporting, enhancing IT compliance measurement and monitoring.
- Oversee operation resiliency testing and reporting, including disaster recovery activities.
- Manage risks related to information technology and cybersecurity.
- Review information systems for compliance with company's business strategy.
Required experience:
- 3 years’ experience in an IT Governance Specialist Role or similar with a working understanding of risk and incident management. Exposure to Audit would also be advantageous.
- 2 + years working within a Financial Services environment.
- A relevant IT Governance related qualification - ITIL or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable experience:
- Experience with ITSM Tools and workflow management including Automation.
- IT Governance related qualifications: ISACA CRISC Certification, ITIL Practitioner Certified etc.
- Experience with PowerBI reporting.
You will be a proactive self - starter with strong communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
