It Infrastructure Engineer

Position:IT Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: up to £40,000

Location of office: Sheffield

The role: An exciting position has now been created for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our clients growing technology team in central Sheffield. Our client is a fast growing start up in the cybersecurity market and are working on the development of a range of new, innovative security products for the Cloud infrastructure, 5G and IoT sectors.

The successful Infrastructure Engineer will be joining a small, growing business and will take a lead on all things IT and support focussed. You will build, maintain and run their internal infrastructure as they continue to grow and will play a key role in their aggressive growth plans.

Key Skills Required:

• Microsoft technologies (Office, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender for Endpoint)
• Desktop support experience (Windows 11, Linux, MacOS)
• Physical, virtualised & cloud server deployments, maintenance & proactive monitoring (AWS, Azure, Proxmox)
• Security scanning, backup maintenance & managing patching schedules.
• Experience using a ticketing system & adhering to change control processes.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Experience implementing & maintaining compliance / conditional access policies.
• Containerised workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Documentation of existing & new infrastructure deployments.
• Scripting and automation tools
• Firewall & network configuration / maintenance
• Disaster recovery planning & implementation
