You will be improving and maturing the strategy, policies and working practices within the Information Security Management System. This means leading all aspects of the development and implementation of comprehensive risk management and compliance strategies and working closely with leadership to align GRC initiatives with business objectives. This is an opportunity to craft and further develop our Governance and control in a very dynamic area that has multiple clients.
You do need to be eligible for SC and NPPV2 clearance.
This role is office based in Hemel Hempstead.

What you'll be doing:
- Lead on Security Risk and Governance activities creating, developing and maintaining a framework of security controls
- Develop and lead on the implementation of compliance programs against relevant legal and regulatory requirements, contractual obligations and industry standards
- Build technical control roadmaps
- Drive the implementation of the strategy, policy and working practice
- Drive Improvements to the SOC Service Security Posture and advise on areas for improvement
- Responsible for the implementation of Sopra Steria and client Risk Management methodologies
- Review and manage security risk and threat assessment (operational and system)
What you'll bring:
- IT Operational Security Manager experience with solid understanding and experience with security policies and standards
- Technical proficiency and knowledge across the spectrum of information security solutions and operations
- Knowledge of IT security solutions and their integration and operation into business systems and processes
- Experience of forming relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
- CISSP and / or CISM certified or equivalent degree in Information Security
- Must be able to undergo a security clearance process
It would be great if you had:
- Police or public sector experience
