Our IT Team includes IT Support and Operations teams, software development teams as well as business analysts, project managers, system testers and systems analysts spread across 9 offices. The IT team maintains our IT infrastructure, supports the business to get the most out of our 3rd party and internally developed software as well as delivering IT solutions for external use by clients and intermediaries through the web. We produce a wide variety of business systems that are used across all our practice areas.
Responsibilities
The role will support and develop the Firm’s IT systems. Most of our systems are run on Microsoft Windows Servers (various versions) with a mixture of Windows 10 laptops running Microsoft Office 365 and various other business applications.
Working in a team spread throughout multiple offices in the UK, the role’s responsibilities include:
- Provide 3rd line user support to BW users.
- Work with Software teams to deploy BW software and maintain appropriate infrastructure for this.
- Troubleshoot network problems.
- Assist with IT infrastructure project work and as required.
- Support and Administration of Servers, Network, Microsoft Azure and 365 Services.
- Support multiple environments (Production, Development - NPE, and others).
- Evaluate developments in hardware, systems, and application software.
- Ensure the security of company data by ensuring backup and DR solutions are fully operational.
- Keep up to date on network and application security issues, review and implement hot-fixes, best practice documents, and other advice to secure the servers.
- Roll out of new hardware and software where required.
Qualifications
- Microsoft 365 and Azure certifications preferred.
- 3-4 years previous Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Azure administration experience.
- Experience in managing server room UPS, Network and Datacentre equipment, VMware, and SAN storage.
- A good understanding of Network troubleshooting, TCP/IP Networking.
