A leading professional services company with an excellent reputation who are recognised globally, and who have won countless awards (including Great Place to Work), are recruiting for an IT Procurement Specialist / Commodity Manager to join their modern, state of the art offices in central Manchester.
Your new role
The IT Procurement Specialist will work closely with the IT Category Manager to provide procurement support in terms of sourcing activity and supplier relationship management as the company continues to evolve in its technological transformation. You will play a key role in supporting the development and execution of procurement strategies within the technology category which aim to improve efficiency, achieve better value for money, and mitigate risk across the company\'s supply chain. You will manage key business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and you will also negotiate commercial terms and conditions to ensure a robust contract, whilst incorporating supply chain sustainability considerations.
What you\'ll need to succeed
- Prior IT/tech procurement experience
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience of negotiating contract agreements
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Strategic sourcing experience
- Ideally, you will be MCIPS qualified or partially qualified
