GTS Transortation is currently recruiting for our client, a leading player in the Transportation industry, seeking an experienced IT Procurement Manager to join their dynamic team based in London.
As the IT Procurement Manager, you will be entrusted with managing a substantial budget of £24 million dedicated to IT spend, encompassing vital systems such as payroll, CRM, and telematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire IT procurement process, from vendor selection to contract negotiation and management.
- Develop and implement robust procurement strategies to optimise cost savings while ensuring the quality and reliability of IT services.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including IT teams and business leaders, to understand requirements and align procurement initiatives with organisational goals.
- Conduct market research and stay abreast of industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and cost efficiency.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with contracts and service level agreements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and streamline operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT procurement within a similar industry, preferably within Transportation or related sectors.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-pound budgets.
- MCIPS preferred.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favourable terms and conditions.
- Proficiency in contract management and vendor relationship management.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to drive innovation and process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
