We are looking for an IT Project Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 36 hours per week.

You will be based at our Swindon office, with hybrid working options enabling you to work from home, with two days per week in the office. This allows teamwork and collaboration, as well as the development of a sense of community and belonging. More time in the office may be required on occasions depending on the needs of the projects assigned. Working from the office full-time is also an option.
As our IT Project Manager you will contribute to the delivery of our vision by managing the delivery of IT projects and small works items across English Heritage, working closely with Senior Responsible Officers, stakeholders, and Technology Services colleagues to ensure that projects are delivered to time, budget, and quality.
On a daily basis you will monitor progress and flag up risks and issues, at all times utilising the agreed project governance and standards to support successful delivery.
Throughout the duration of each project or small works items you will proactively manage stakeholders at all levels across the organisation undertaking relevant, timely and appropriate communication, ensuring engagement from the business is sustained.
Additionally, you will:
- ensure that your projects/small works are effectively resourced and appropriately funded, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of your project/small works teams and finances.
- At least two years of experience in an IT focussed Project Manager role delivering IT software projects and small works items.
- To demonstrate effectiveness in planning and organising simultaneous projects and small works deliveries, displaying excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in Matrix Management, Stakeholder Management and Business Engagement.
- To demonstrate financial and budget management skills gained in a project environment.
- Understanding, through experience, of the typical challenges faced by organisations that predominantly outsource IT provision either from a shared service or commercial supplier.
