Job Summary:
As our business continues to build momentum, we are looking for an enthusiastic IT Project Manager to join our team. This position was created due to growth and will report directly to the Technical Director.
Working closely with other members of HQ team & IT Outsource Teams you will be involved in the successful implementation, deployment and training of a wide number of IT Projects, split across several areas of the business where required. These include public facing websites, internal franchise software and other major applications such as NetSuite and Shopify. We are looking for someone who is extremely organized, has suitable experience in an IT Project manager role and is confident using a wide range of software applications whilst having the ability to support others.
The ideal candidate would have some previous experience of working with software products and understand the principles of databases of software to convey requirmetns to our developers.
Job Description:
Project Planning and Initiation
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings and ensure team understanding of project objectives.
Requirements Gathering and Analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document project requirements.
- Analyse and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Work closely with development teams to translate requirements into actionable tasks.
Team Coordination
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.
- Manage project resources and allocate tasks effectively.
Client / Franchisee Interaction
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
- Provide regular project updates and address client concerns.
- Ensure client satisfaction and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
3 Party Vendor Management
- Identify and engage with third-party vendors as needed.
- Assist in contract negotiations, manage vendor relationships, and ensure deliverables align with project goals.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely acquisition of necessary resources.
Risk Management
- Identify and assess project risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or objectives.
Quality Assurance
- Establish and maintain quality assurance processes.
- Conduct regular project reviews to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Aid with software testing before release
- Release Management
Reporting and Documentation
- Generate and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting minutes.
- Preparation of planning documents for developers based on internal fact finding
Communication
- Ensuring that employees are following computer use, information security and privacy policies
Desirable
- Have worked in the management of software projects across different technologies
- Have a working knowledge of Digital Marketing
- Have experience of Laravel and Php development processes
- Understand the software development life cycle
- Understand database infrastructure
- Have a working knowledge of AI tools
