Your New Role
As an IT Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering projects that support our client\'s transformation agenda. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will lead and drive the successful delivery of complex, high-profile projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and successfully delivering projects from start-up to closure, ensuring adherence to agreed standards and delivering fit-for-purpose solutions within time, quality, and budget constraints.
- Building strong relationships with project stakeholders, including senior management and project board members, to effectively manage expectations and maintain trust and confidence.
- Exercising strong control over project delivery by setting and managing project tolerances, utilising project standards and tools for clear governance.
- Coordinating project resources, both internal and external, to ensure successful project delivery in a matrix environment.
- Identifying and managing project risks, implementing appropriate controls and escalation procedures.
- Developing and delivering project documentation and communications to a high standard.
- Creating and owning detailed project plans to monitor and track progress throughout the project lifecycle.
- Leading all stages of the project, including development plans, test plans, and implementation plans.
- Monitoring project progress and taking corrective action when necessary to keep projects on track.
- Providing regular project reporting and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborating with other Project Managers, technical leads, and key stakeholders to identify and manage dependencies across projects.
What You\'ll Need to Succeed
To thrive in this role, you will need:
- Proven expertise as an IT Project Manager, successfully delivering IT solutions to a variety of customers.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain trust and confidence from senior management and team members.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective control of project delivery and the ability to convey complex IT issues to both technical and business colleagues.
- Natural leadership abilities, driving high performance from project teams and effectively managing risks and issues.
- Experience managing resources in a matrix environment and the ability to coordinate and motivate others.
- Comfort working with and reporting to senior management and directors.
