Job Description
Base salary: £22300 to c.£27900 depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer flexible benefits fund of 15% which is paid on top base salary and is fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits - check them out in the Benefits section on our website.

As an IT Service Assistant at HS2 you will be responsible for coordinating IT operations and managing the acceptance criteria for any changes within the area. This role is responsible for validating changes against the acceptance criteria, gathering evidence and creating materials as necessary.
About the role:
- To be responsible for supporting the IT Service Manager in delivery and assurance of service introduction and service acceptance processes
- To be accountable for validating changes against acceptance criteria, gathering evidence and creating materials as necessary
- To be responsible for testing products, ensuring product application acceptance and checking whether security criteria have been met
- To be accountable for flagging any potential risks and escalating these to the Service Transition Manager
- To be responsible for supporting Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) related activity as required
- Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI
About you:
Skills:
- Change management. Ability to implement changes based on requests for change
- Incident management. Ability to identify and register incidents, gathering the required information and allocating it to the appropriate channel
- Problem management. Ability to understand and investigate problems in systems, processes or services
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of core technical concepts of platforms, products or services
- Successfully completed an IT-related apprenticeship or equivalent
