IT Service Manager
Knutsford
As a Barclays IT Service Manager, you will enable Development Services to manage operational risk through ensuring compliance with Technology Standards and Security requirements, whilst promoting operational excellence, using sound IT Service Management techniques.  Development Services (DS), is part of the Chief Technology Office, dedicated to improving the experience of being a developer at Barclays, ensuring we have the appropriate tools, technology and processes to support our high calibre colleagues across our global Technology teams.

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). What will you be doing?
• Embedding discipline around the Technology Standards e.g. incident, problem and change management
• Leading RCA (root cause analysis) reviews to ensure we understand full cause of issues and document corrective actions through the Correction of Errors log
• Helping to run Service Reviews for our tools, driving insights and improvement
• Acting as a representative in governance forums, with a particular focus on the change lifecycle
• Monitoring service levels to ensure standards are met for our users as required 
• Taking the decision to escalate when appropriate during incidents or when performing root cause analysis reviews
• Building collaborative working relationships within Developer Services and with other internal teams


What we’re looking for:
• Understanding of ITIL processes
• Previous experience to influence and manage across multiple teams and regions to deliver solutions to complex problems
• Ability to apply order and process, yet flexible to adapt as needed for continuous improvement
• Solid experience using communication, process, and transparency to balance regulatory and control partner demands with competing business and technical priorities

Skills that will help you in the role:
• ITIL certification
• Understanding of technology risk and control requirements
• Experience of Service Risk Assessments


Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
