VANRATH are delighted to exclusively assist the Northern Ireland Housing Executive to recruit an IT Service Manager to the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading public sector organisation and contribute to meaningful work. The IT Service Manager performs a critical role managing our IT Services within a large complex technical environment. The IT Service Manager will be responsible for managing a service desk team, service performance, stakeholder relationships and liaising with multiple suppliers to ensure continuous service improvement on a daily basis. The IT Service manager will ensure that IT Service processes are aligned with the IT service requirements of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.

Essential Criteria

(To be assessed at Interview)

• Can demonstrate at least 3 years’ experience within the last 5 years in an IT Service Manager role within a large organisation.
• Can demonstrate a broad understanding of enterprise-level technology.
• Can demonstrate experience of managing a team including planning, prioritising and managing resources within a collaborative team-based environment.
• A strong focus on customer service and a history of excellent client relations.
• Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and the business at all levels.
• Ability to manage own time and work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines
• Possess strong MS Office skills.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• A relevant IT degree or professional technical qualification of an equivalent academic level in an IT discipline.
• ITIL Certified.

What you'll do as an IT Service Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• The IT Service Manager will ensure that the IT service processes are well defined, implemented and operated across the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.
• Promote the adoption of ITIL principles within and beyond the IT Department and ensure all processes adhere to ITIL industry standards.
• Assist with the implementation of the IT strategy including communicating how technology supports the Housing Executive’s strategic goals
