SalaryWe are working with an electronics business in the Nottingham area who are looking to recruit a IT Support Engineer to join their IT team. The role reports in to the Group IT Manager and is part of a small IT team who are providing 1st and 2nd line IT support duties to all internal users IT requirements and IT infrastructure. In the first 6 months the role will be premoniantly office based transitioning to blended in home working after this period.
The main duties and responsibilities in the role are:
- 1st Line Support and Administration of business applications such as Microsoft 365, NetSuite, HubSpot
- Support Disaster Recovery requirements across the IT infrastructure. Support internal IT infrastructure (routers, switches, etc) with the support of parent group teams and external vendors.
- Provide 1st line support to AWS and Azure platforms.
We are looking for candidates to have the below skills and qualifications to be considered for this role:
- NVQ Level 3 in an IT related subject matter.
- Effective communication skills
- Eagerness to learn, understand technology trends and adapt to the changing nature of technology.
- Working knowledge of SaaS applications including Microsoft 365, Jira, Confluence, NetSuite etc.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Network Infrastructure knowledge (IP, VLAN, DC)
- Proactive growth mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL working practices.
