Stena Drilling are looking to add an IT Support Engineer apprentice to their existing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in the IT industry. You will work in first line IT support for all Stena Drilling offices and offshore sites, via telephone and remote control, and updating of incidents handled in the incident management tool. You will work towards an SCQF Level 8 qualification whilst in this role.

What will you be doing?
- Work within IT strategy in support of the company’s mission and core objectives
- First line IT Support to all Stena Drilling offices and offshore sites, via telephone and remote control, and updating of incidents handled in the incident management tool
- Escalate second and third line technical issues as appropriate
- Perform installation, setup, configuration, migration, upgrading and maintenance of desktop devices, peripherals, and mobile devices
- Assist with internal desk setups and moves
- Be responsive and pro-active when handling end-user PC problems and requests
- Respond to automated system/monitoring tool alerts
- Undertake small IT projects as required
- Participate in the development of technical documentation for end user procedures
- Maintain high level of awareness in IT, Information, and Cyber Security and provide information and advice to others as necessary
- Work with elevated account privileges and permissions in line with documented procedures

Salary:
£17,000 - £20,000 per annum
Working hours:
36 hours per week, core hours are between 8am - 5pm
