It Support Engineer

The role – IT Support Engineer.

The salary - £23,000 - £25,000

The location – Aberdeen

Hybrid working available, minimum of 2-3 days on-site a week.

We’re working with a fantastic organisation who are looking to add an IT Support Engineer to their Aberdeen based team, providing first-class support and guidance to both internal users and clients through the Service Desk. You’ll ensure that all requirements are logged and respond to calls and emails, investigating and troubleshooting issues where you can, and escalating where necessary.

Your day-to-day:

• Responding to IT troubleshooting requests over the phone, in-person and via email. Resolve issues where possible and maintain the ticket tracking portal.
• Managing support requests, information gathering and documenting troubleshooting requirements to keep service desk records up to date.
• Responding to 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support tickets through the organisations portal, escalating to the relevant teams.
• Performing system installations, upgrades and maintenance.
• Monitor alerts, ensuring timely response.

About you:

• Prior experience in an IT service desk or IT customer-facing role.
• Knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• A good understanding of MS Office applications, Azure AD and Exchange administration.
• An understanding of cloud technology and an enthusiasm to develop your knowledge and skills.
• Empathy and customer focus.
• Effective communication skills.
• Previous experience or knowledge of ServiceNow, Salesforce, Zabbix and PowerApps would be desirable.
