Our client is seeking a dedicatedIT Support Engineer to join their team.
As an IT Support Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining IT systems, troubleshooting issues, and providing training to all users.
Some practical working experience is a must and candidates must live locally and within a commutable distance around Spalding.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Configure new users and devices
- Maintain a comprehensive database of support requests
- Repair hardware faults and report complex issues to the IT Manager
- Support teaching staff with technical aspects of IT
- Develop and maintain the network
- Ensure adherence to IT policies
- Resolve hardware and software issues
- Maintain relationships with suppliers
- Keep track of assets in the register
Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of current Windows and mobile operating systems
- Experience of core desktop and cloud business applications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness and ability to learn new skills quickly
- Ability to document processes and procedures
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange is desirable
- Network, VPN, and VOIP experience is desirable
- Installation experience with firewall, printers, laptops, and printers is desirable
- Familiarity with security and AV software is desirable
