It Support Lead

WeDoData are working exclusively with a secondary school in Bristol who are looking to appoint an IT Lead Technician on a permanent basis.

The school is part of a wider academy trust, they are ‘Good’ Ofsted rated with some ‘Outstanding’ results. The whole IT team is part of a central team who are close-knit, supportive and inclusive. The organisation has a collaborative approach which offers scope to learn and develop within the role and opportunity to progress within the group.

This is a brand new role, working alongside two other Lead Technicians within the trust. As well as being a hands on role, there is also a responsibility to manage a lower-grade technician.

Ideal applicants will have:

• Experience working in a high pressure IT environment
• Hands on experience of server maintenance, repair and recovery
• Experience working within a school setting
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• A proactive approach
• Excellent communication skills

The following would be advantageous:

• Previous experience in a lead technician position
• Experience managing budgets
• Experience using Google platforms (Apple/Microsoft distinguished candidates also considered)
• Driver’s license and vehicle
