About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support the technology needs of our team and organisation, including managing basic desktop support as well as various office-based tasks. The successful candidate will enjoy interacting with people and working with different systems, have an interest in technology and a willingness to learn.
You will be working alongside an experienced Technology Lead and a strong and growing team of specialists in areas such as data and digital. The role also offers the opportunity to work on strategic projects and gain experience in new and established technologies and systems.

This role would suit a proactive desktop or IT support officer/analyst with problem-solving abilities and excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels of a business, looking to take on a role where they will also have the opportunity to learn and develop as we continue on our digital transformation journey.
Key responsibilities
- Desktop support
- Responding to requests about office computers, phones, networking, etc.
- Assisting with hardware in the office including relocating computers, meeting room technology, setting up computers, resolving issues, maintenance of printers and IT supplies
- Handling new joiner/leaver process (raising tickets with relevant suppliers, set up of users on our CRM and telephony systems)
- Raising tickets as needed including locked accounts across various systems
- Responding to general requests and issues
- Responding to requests about office computers, phones, networking, etc.
- Supporting various systems including cloud desktop (Citrix/Windows), CRM (Dynamics 365), loan management system.
- Responsible for producing a range of regular reports and providing timely data and information to various stakeholders including the senior leadership team.
- Ad hoc project work.
Skills and experience
- Desktop support experience, including:
- Ability to understand/analyse issues and come up with solutions
- Experience dealing with computer hardware (set up, issues), networking (cabled, WIFI)
- Ability to multi-task and excellent prioritisation skills
- Ability to understand/analyse issues and come up with solutions
- Knowledge/experience of Windows 10/11, Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint.
- Experience working with technology suppliers.
- Very good Excel skills (formulas, VBA).
- Experience of managing a VOIP system.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Good stakeholder management/people interaction skills.
- Knowledge/experience of Dynamics 365/Power automate is desirable.
- Coding knowledge is not essential but would be helpful.
- Interest in technology and willingness to learn.
