Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit an ITSO Smart Ticketing Project Delivery Manager for an initial 6 month contract with potential to extend on a rate of £500-£550/day (Inside IR35). This role will be a hybrid of working at home and in the office.
Responsibilities:
- Support for the Senior Smart Project Manager to lead delivery a range of smart projects, which meet the organisations goals and wider agendas
- Work with Senior Smart Project Manager and the programme team to deliver smart projects (products, services or schemes) from concept development, through procurement and into Project Delivery
- Actively undertake an inclusive approach when delivering projects, including coordination of programme impacts across the organisation and Scottish Government and liaising with other teams to ensure awareness of your projects and an identify any impacts
- Support members of the project team and other using Agile and Lean approaches to Project Delivery
- Achieve Benefits Realisation by working with contract & business change managers to ensure service levels and KPI’s are being maintained as required and project benefits are embedded into operational activity
- Develop and implement risk management protocols, ensuring all governance reporting is delivered.
- Work with suppliers to understand and manage digital solutions across a range of smart mediums
- Working within a PMO environment, use of key project management documentation including project initiation documents, project plans, risk and mitigation logs and on-going monitoring and evaluation
- Where appropriate, work to Digital Scotland Service Standards (DSSS) requirements ensuring fully compliance with principles and procedures
- Maintaining and building excellent stakeholder relations to ensure project and programme objectives are delivered by all project partners
- Develop and manage good stakeholder relations, both internal and external and at appropriate level, to deliver projects in complex and demanding environments
- Support the Smart Programme with development of other national or targeted smart projects, including working with cross organisational directorates and Scottish Government to meet Programme for Government and other Scottish Government objectives.
Essential Skills:
- Must be Certified Prince 2, Agile or APM Practitioner with Project Delivery experience.
-ITSO Smart Ticketing experience
- Experienced in successfully project managing complex and challenging digital, smart or technical projects, ideally in a public sector environment, demonstrating relevant project management techniques
- Experienced with working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring cohesive delivery against multiple agendas and / or policies, and prioritising own and project workload and competing priorities
- Ability to deal with challenges, whether technical, stakeholder impact or internal policies, and showing sound judgement for escalation, or incorporating additional skills or resources when required
- Demonstrate sound analytical skills, with the ability to translate technical or digital detailed requirements into plain English and effectively communicate project requirements and outcomes to different audiences, including senior management.
