Junior Account Manager

Our client has worked with UK retail for more than 75 years specialising in end-to-end supply chain management, branding, e-commerce and retail services. They offer tailored solutions to their client’s business develop at any stage along the journey from sourcing a product to seeing it on sale in a retailer or on a marketplace.
About the Role:
Our client is looking for a Junior Account Manager to join them on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract as maternity cover starting in July 2024. In this role you will manage and monitor the progress and development of tenders and live orders from conception to delivery through the continuous interaction with suppliers and customers.
The salary range is £25k to £28k and the role is hybrid 3 days in the office at Hemel Hempstead.
Key Accountabilities

• Able to communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and explain product value, working to deadlines updating critical path.
• Build relationships with clients based on trust and respect.
• Phoning or emailing factories in the global supply chain to resolve queries.
• Collaborating with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfilment.
• Collecting and analysing data to learn more about consumer behaviour.
• Keeping accurate records pertaining to inventory and account notes.
• Maintaining updated knowledge of company products and services.
• Resolving complaints and preventing additional issues by improving processes.
• Identifying industry trends makes recommendations.
• Acting as a client advocate with a focus on improving the buyer experience.

About You:

• Excellent active listening skills.
• Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.
• Understanding of consumer behaviours and industry trends.
• Extensive, accurate product knowledge.
• Experience in textiles industry working with suppliers.
• German speaking an advantage but not necessary.
