Junior Analyst - Americas Team, Pyrford International

We are looking to employ a graduate to work in the investment team covering Americas equities (both North and South America). Given the small size of the team the successful candidate can expect a high level of responsibility from the start. You will sit directly with the investment team and gain exposure to every facet of the investment process, including travelling to meet with the management of companies, whilst also studying for the CFA qualification. We welcome applicants from any subject.
Pyrford International is a London based asset manager that specialises in global and international equities. The firm currently manages more than $8bn for pension funds, charities, endowments, foundations and high net worth individuals. Pyrford is part of the Columbia Threadneedle Investments.
Pyrford takes a long term approach to investing. We focus on sustainable business franchises with high returns on equity, stable cash flows and conservative balance sheets; eschewing the rapid portfolio turnover and index chasing approach taken by much of the industry.

How you'll spend your time..

• Assisting the analysts/portfolio manager in company & sector due-diligence,

• Updating economic forecasts,

• Helping prepare for company meetings,

• Helping investigate/identify investment opportunities,

• Updating company models

Note: All these tasks relate to the Americas region and in particular the USA and Canada.
