Junior Buyer

Fortus Recruitment are currently representing a plumbing & heating contractor who are looking for a Junior Buyer to join their contracting team.

We are currently seeking a Junior Buyer / Buyer to join our growing Mechanical plumbing and heating business. As a Junior Buyer / buyer you will play a crucial role in our operations by managing the day to day purchasing of materials. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting the team with administrative tasks, invoice queries, Aftercare customer services, Tender support preparation and cost analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day to day purchasing activities for materials, creating Purchase orders, considering prices to meet commercial and operation needs
• Provide administrative support to the team.
• Resolve invoice queries
• Assist In tender support, preparation and analysis
• Customer care with clients
• Attend supplier meetings and maintain relationships whilst negotiating costs.
• Maintain the supplier/materials data base must have strong excel knowledge
• Prepare performance reports

Requirements

• Proven experience in purchasing
• Strong excel knowledge
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ideally knowledge within the plumbing and heating sector
• Strong negotiation skills
• Must be able to drive as office is in Crondall, Surrey
