Junior CAD Draughtsman

Position: Junior CAD Draughtsman.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

Location: Barton-Le-Clay.

Proactive are currently working with a client who are a market leader in their field based in Barton-Le-Clay.

As a Junior CAD Draughtsman, you will play a vital role in supporting the design team by assisting in the creation and modification of technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with basic AutoCAD skills to further develop their expertise and contribute to real-world projects within the client's dynamic work environment.

You will be responsible for:

• Collaborate with senior draughtsmen and engineers to produce accurate technical drawings and plans based on project requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and modification of 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, industry regulations, and project specifications.
• Revise and update drawings as necessary in response to feedback from project stakeholders.
• Over time there will be a requirement to occasionally visit client sites to survey and produce drawings for manufacture and approval.
• Organize and maintain drawing files and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with team members to ensure project objectives are met.
• Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement in CAD software and related tools.

Experience/Qualifications:

• One of NVQ, BTech or Degree desirable.
• Basic understanding of drafting principles and techniques.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and software platforms.
• Enthusiasm for the field of design and a desire to grow within the industry.
