About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, to join the allpay team.

allpay is fast growing fintech company, based in Hereford, who specialise in payment and financial services. You will be working in an exciting, dynamic team, in a highly productive and engaging role, supporting and delivering agile and leading-edge cloud solutions within the Azure platform.

Working within the IT Infrastructure services team, you will provide support to resolve faults with specific technologies and multi technology solutions, including internally built technologies.

A desire to learn and share new skills is imperative. We recognise that Azure services are continually evolving, requiring a strong emphasis on training and development. We actively encourage dedicated training plans and focus on knowledge transfer within and between teams. This is an ideal opportunity to consolidate your training and join a team actively leveraging a significant proportion of Azure services on client facing production systems.

Knowledge of Azure DevOPS will also be advantageous as you will be working in an Agile team using DevOPS to support releases to Development, Staging and Production environments for an ever-growing portfolio of critical financial applications and highly compliant payment processing solutions.

Within this role you will be:

Contributing to the companies ‘Cloud First’ strategy
Supporting the infrastructure manager to ensure that best practice is utilised across IT operations
Working with technology teams and external third party parties/ vendors to resolve critical incidents
Advice senior stakeholders both internally and externally to proactively prevent incidents and to resolve those that cannot be prevented

About You

In support of the company's cloud first strategy, exposure to the following would be beneficial:

Microsoft Azure IaaS
Microsoft Azure PaaS
Automation and Powershell
Microsoft system centre suite

Please note we offer the flexibility for candidates to work on-site at our offices in Hereford lo or in a hybrid arrangement combining remote work with on-site presence.
