Cloudscope are recruiting for a forward-thinking marketing and design agency in the Colchester area who provide a range of services to their clients. They are seeking a Junior Developer keen to get their foot in the door into an agency. In this role, you will be part of an experienced team, working with developers at all levels, learning from the best. You will be responsible for creating and optimising HTML email templates unique to each client, testing for compatibility across various email platforms and service providers. This role will be full time in the office in Colchester during your training, then will then become fully remote, with monthly office visits.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Development and testing of custom HTML email templates compatible with various email platforms
- Stay updated with the latest web and email development trends and technologies
- Assist the development team in creating landing pages, microsites, and other digital projects.
- Conduct front-end development across multiple devices, browsers, and operating systems.
- Address known bugs in front-end projects.
- Assist in project planning and time estimation, contributing ideas for future client projects.
- Quality assurance functionality testing of websites, landing pages, web applications and apps built by the Development team.
The Candidate:
- Desirable to have a computing degree or similar qualification
- Experience with HTML, building bespoke email templates if preferred
- HTML, CSS and jQuery
- Javascript, PHP and MySQL would be a bonus
- Passionate about web development and continuous learning
This role would suit a Junior Developer, straight from education with your own project experience using front end technologies. Anyone with work experience is of course even more beneficial. You will be happy being part of a hardworking team both in the office and remotely.
