This is a great opportunity to join our community of experts at DWP Digital as an Digital Change and Implementation Manager.

DWP is the UK's largest government department. We help people into work and make payments worth over 195bn a year, to support millions of daily users.

You'll join our Children, Retirement and Counter Fraud Directorate.
You'll be working on our Retirement Services Programme which is developing several services which support some of DWP's most vulnerable citizens.

You'll work with Service Delivery teams and Retirement operational colleagues to implement digital services into the business and ensure they are viable, will deliver value, and make real improvements.

You'll need to be adaptable and flexible. You'll work on different digital services, managing a varied stakeholder environment, and make sure we deliver at pace.

You'll create communications plans and be responsible for executing them for all changes on DWP Place - our self-service platform for tech queries, issues and equipment. This includes creating a range of communication types and presenting to senior DWP stakeholders, ensuring they are engaged and bought into the change.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to prepare and update implementation and the adoption of the change, ensuring benefits and outcomes can be planned for and delivered within the agreed timescale.

As a team we encourage collaboration and good communication, dealing with conflict and nurturing a positive team culture, and you'll help us achieve that.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

Show a positive approach to focussing the team on priorities. Promote a culture of following the appropriate procedures to ensure results are achieved on time whilst still enabling innovation.

Work with others to identify areas for improvement and simplify processes to use fewer resources. Encourage ideas for change from a wide range of sources. Clearly explain the reasons for change to colleagues and how to implement them, supporting individuals with different needs to adapt to change.

Encourage an environment where colleagues know that they can challenge decisions and issues safely.

Take managed risks by fully considering the varied impacts changes could have on the diverse range of end users.

Communicate in a straightforward, honest and engaging manner, choosing appropriate styles to maximise understanding and impact.

Encourage the use of different communication methods, so that important messages are communicated with colleagues and stakeholders respectfully, taking into consideration the diversity of interests.

It's also great if you have the following. If you don't, don't let it put you off. We'll teach you these valuable skills.
Experience using the ServiceNow product to manage workload, capacity and progress is preferred.
Agile practitioner certification or experience working within a large project using Agile methodology.
An understanding in Prosci ADKAR Change Management Framework (and/or certification) which will assist in driving change by preparing, equipping, and supporting users through the change.

You'll join us in a brilliant DWP Digital hub in your choice of either Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield. As part of the role, regular travel may be required to the Newcastle hub.

In return for your skills, we offer a competitive salary of up to 36,545.

You'll be eligible for a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions of 27.1%.
