Junior Estimator

A roofing and cladding contractor based in the North West is looking to expand their team with a Junior Estimator to assist and work closly with the senior estimators.

The company have many years experience in the delivery of quality projects of all sizes for public and private sector clients.

Experience in construction is preferble but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving and evaluating enquiries to determine the scope of works and deadlines
• Assisting with the preparation of quotations ensuring that all specifications are included in the cost
• Following up on quotations, liaising with the Business Development Manager
• Analysing technical drawings
• Conduct quantity take-offs and source pricing information for materials and labour.
• Work with the in-house project management CRM to keep projects and client relationships running at all times.
• Participate in bid reviews and presentations to clients
• Establishing and expanding on existing relationships with supplier to achieve best value and commercial terms
• Visiting site for measurement / survey purposes
• Keeping up-to-date with product and service information
• Working closely and taking guidance from the Senior Estimator

Experience

• Experience of working within the construction industry is preferred

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate at all levels
• Working to specific deadlines
• Accurate and methodical
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and operate in a fast environment
• IT literate and confident in using a range of programmes including Microsoft office products - Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
• A demonstratable understanding of construction technology
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Package

• Salary depending on experience
• Monday Friday 8.30am 5pm (4pm finish on the last Friday of every month)
