What are we recruiting for?

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Junior Financial Accountant to join our group's finance team!

Reporting to our Group Financial Controller, the Junior Financial Accountant will be a positive, diligent person and will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks for the group.

What will you be doing?

Ensure accounting procedures are followed
Credit control duties and supplier statement reconciliations
Bank reconciliations and day to day cash management (including supplier payments)
Gather and monitor financial data for accurate tracking of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow performance
Compiling payroll
Support the preparation of regulatory reporting, e.g. VAT returns
Inter-company reconciliations and recharges
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Advise on problems and suggest improvements
Additional accounting and administration duties as necessary

What will you bring to the party?

3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
AAT certification preferred but not essential
Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office (experience with Xero beneficial)
A problem-solver with attention to detail
Strong organisation and administration skills
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Team player
