Job Title: Junior Financial Controller
Location: Central London (Office-based)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
About the Role:
Our client, a pioneer in its industry, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Junior Financial Controller to join its team in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth and success of an established business.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Finance Director and will be responsible for a range of financial tasks, including preparing monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management accounts for individual entities in the group
* Reconcile balance sheet control accounts on a monthly basis
* Manage and update the fixed asset register
* Prepare consolidated set of accounts for the group
* Prepare quarterly VAT returns for the individual group entities
* Prepare cash flow statements for the group
* Deal with debt covenants
* Manage stakeholder relationships
* Oversee management accountant, credit control, and AP clerk
* Perform other ad hoc tasks relating to the finance department as required
Qualifications and Skills:
* Qualified or part-qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA qualification
* Strong grasp of monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
* Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus
