A SME Ground Investigation company have an exciting opportunity as a Junior Geo-Environmental Engineer or Technician. This role is based in Milton Keynes.
Overview
Our client is a nationwide geo-environmental and geotechnical company with many years’ project experience in all aspects of geo-environmental and geotechnical engineering, from preliminary contamination risk assessment for planning, to basement extension design and landfill permit application.
You will be joining a busy, family-feel company who work primarily with small to medium house builders, quarry operators, industrial/commercial businesses on high-end residential, canals, and earthwork projects amongst a variety of others.
You will be based out of their Milton Keyes office with some optional hybrid working,
Responsibilities
- Carry out Geotechnical Site Appraisals and Site Contamination Assessments
- Monitoring & Testing
- Factual report writing
- Scheduling contamination, waste classification and geotechnical laboratory testing
- Ability to supervise both geo-environmental and geotechnical site investigations using all techniques commonly employed
- Carry out infiltration testing
- Understanding of interpretative geotechnical report writing
- Liaison with subcontractors
Requirements
- You will have a background within a similar role
- Background including fieldworks on site, and geo-environmental projects.
- You should have a good understanding of site investigation techniques /contaminated land assessment
- A relevant degree
- Full clean driving license, trailer license a positive, or ability to obtain one.
