SalaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Legal Counsel to join a highly-regarded and impactful legal team within a leading FMCG business. The successful candidate will have the chance to work with leading household brands in the UK and internationally, with this role offering a wide variety of exposure to commercial matters.
Their office is located in Hertfordshire, on the cusp of North-West London. Hybrid work arrangements will be on offer (ideally 2 -3 days in office). The company values its employees, offering support for continued skill development within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
About the role
As a Junior Legal Counsel, you will play an integral role in ensuring that the company complies with its legal, regulatory and corporate governance obligations. Reporting into the Head of Legal, key responsibiities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of legal documents
- Providing advice to commercial teams on contract interpretation
- Reviewing product packaging and promotional materials for legal compliance
- Supporting the implementation and monitoring of compliance programmes
- Organising and creating training materials, monitoring attendance and spotting compliance issues
- Handling intellectual property matters including trade mark clearance searches and drafting NDAs
- Providing dispute resolution support and advice
- Undertaking legal research on a variety of topics
About you
The ideal candidate will have the drive and initiative to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. The following skills and attributes will be highly regarded:
- UK-qualified solicitor with NQ - 2 PQE gained in private practice or within an in-house environment (however all candidates will be considered on merit)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment
- Proactive approach with initiative and hands-on attitude
- Excellent multitasking abilities
- High standards with attention to detail
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
