We are recruiting for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join the team of one of our clients based in Maghera. The client is a family run business founded over 50 years ago and has become one of the UK & Ireland's largest installers of trenchless technology whilst also providing turnkey utility services. The Junior Surveyor will provide support to the Senior QS and commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Reporting:

• Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level
• Ensure accurate cash flow reporting takes place
• Carry out monthly valuations including forecasting
• Update and manage tender register & work programmes and liaise with clients

2. Processes:

• Help ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the business unit
• Actively seek to improve processes and procedures
• Managing confidential information safely using IMS processes

3. External relationships:

• Assist with contract reviews and client liaison
• Ensure that good client relationships are fostered
• Assist with subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting

4. Internal relationships:

• Assisting the commercial team, including buyer (or purchaser) and accounts staff
• Ensure effective interaction between the commercial team and the operational site teams

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying in related field

Desirable Criteria:

• Minimum of 1 year's work experience in the Civils Industry would be an advantage
• Proficient in Excel, word, Project & Adobe

Hours of Work:

• Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm
