Responsibilities
- Undertake work, as directed by the Safety & Environmental Lead Engineer, as part of the safety and environmental team.
- Assist in the production of safety artefacts following the guidance in a range of applicable standards.
- Assist in the delivery of safety projects to time, cost and quality.
- Follow the procedures in the company's Safety & Environmental Management System to the level of quality described in the Quality Management System.
- Support Project Safety and Environmental Panels (PSEPs) – produce agendas, meeting arrangements, minutes and assist with precursor hazard reviews.
- Write Minutes from Safety Meetings extracting the key changes for updates to the Safety and Environmental Case Reports (SECRs) and Equipment Safety Assessments (ESAs).
- Assist with the Hazard Management Process.
- Update SECRs and ESAs to reflect changes identified in design updates or during safety meetings.
- Support the writing of new SECRs and ESAs.
- Delivery of own aspects of project(s) to meet the client’s needs and make the agreed level of contribution.
- Ensure own aspects of projects are delivered within the client’s boundary and make the agreed level of margin contribution.
- A recognised technical qualification preferably in Engineering.
- Effective communication skills with Line Management and clients.
- Ability to work as part of a team.

About the Role The Junior Safety Engineer will assist in the production and delivery of safety artefacts to support defence and industry contracts. This role is commutable to the Cheltenham office and/or hybrid working with occasional travel to client’s sites if required.
