We are seeking to appoint an Office Team Leader/Administrative Officer to join our federation and lead the Office Team in our Junior School.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and hard-working Office Team who put the needs of our children first and are passionate about supporting the teaching and learning in our school.
Role responsibilities:
Managing the school’s admissions process
Process the recruitment of new team members
Ordering resources using IBC and reconciling the deliveries
Welcoming visitors to school and adhering to all safeguarding measures
Managing the accurate inputting and maintaining of pupil records in Arbor, including attendance and statutory returns
Managing, preparing and distributing communications to parents
Administering first aid and medication as First Aid Officer, managing the school’s first aid policies and procedures
Managing the administration of school trips
Managing and maintaining the school’s website
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience of leading, or working within, a school administration team.
- Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths)
- Have strong IT skills (MS Office), have a good understanding of school operations and management systems (Arbor and IBC)
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team, being positive, proactive, flexible and resourceful
- Be committed and able to deal sensitively, tactfully and confidentially with children and adults whilst adhering to all safeguarding procedures
- Be a creative problem solver
- Have excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills
- Enjoy working with children and has empathy with pupils, being both understanding and sympathetic to their needs.
- Act in a calm and positive manner, communicating confidently and effectively with children and adults
