Junior Security Ops Analyst

A key part of the Technology function, the IT Services (ITS) department, provides all IT related services and develops new IT solutions in collaboration with colleagues from across the organisation, whilst ensuring the ongoing smooth operation of existing solutions. You will be joining a team of collaborators and knowledge sharers working in an agile, fast-paced environment.
As a Junior Security Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the wider security team with daily management of the function and services across the organisation including fielding escalations from third-part SOC and performing initial triaging, escalating threats and incidents as needed, and contributing to the creation of monthly reporting metrics

Your profile

• A good understanding of fundamental security principles
• Knowledge and experience responding to incidents and urgent enquiries
• Working knowledge and experience working with desktops, operating systems, and networking
• Knowledge and experience of vulnerability management processes and various tools used
• Knowledge and experience handling Cyber Security threats and understanding their potential impact on an organisation
• Knowledge and experience completing security tasks on a daily and weekly basis (monitoring of security mailboxes, tooling, threat intelligence feeds, intrusion detection systems, web & email protection)
• Knowledge and experience identifying, responding, and escalating security related issues
• Knowledge and experience collecting and reporting on key risk indicators and creating documentation for stakeholders
