This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Software Developer working within a small team selling into the service sector, to join the team and help grow our developing department. Interviews being held ASAP for this position.
The ideal candidate will have some practical experience of web development using PHP, NodeJS and will demonstrate a genuine passion for software development and an enthusiasm to learn and grow. On-the-job training and support will be provided.
- Entry level based in Derby
- Salary £25,000

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
As a Junior Software Developer, you will immerse yourself as a key member of the team working alongside others and independently.
- Work with other developers and stakeholders to design and implement new features.
- Write unit and integration tests.
- Troubleshoot and debug code.
- Document code and procedures.
- Be motivated to learn and work with a diverse range of technologies.
YOU NEED TO HAVE?
- Degree in computer science or a related subject
- Some experience in designing and developing backend web applications using PHP and NodeJS
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS
- Frontend framework for single-page applications
- Analysis and design of common design patterns
- Test driven development
- Use of cloud platforms
