Junior Sous Chef

Mimi’s is a modern European two AA rosette restaurant in Weybridge. We are looking for a passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our team and strive for further awards .

As Sous Chef you will:

• Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in creating menu ideas, recipes and developing dishes
• Manage stock control, ordering and cost management within a dedicated section under guidance from the Sous Chef and Head Chef
• Prepare, cook and present high quality dishes
• Assist management with H&S and food hygiene practices
• Work with the Sous Chef to maintain kitchen organisation and training opportunities, particularly assisting with the training of any Chef de Parties and Commis Chefs
• Monitor portion and waste control

What we're looking for:

• One year Junior Sous experience
• Appropriate qualifications and food safety certifications
• Previous experience within a restaurant or fine dining pub
• Conversational level of English verbal and written
• Reliability and punctuality
• Knowledge of current food trends with an ability to bring this knowledge to the customer dining experience
• Strong positive attitude
• Passion for seasonable fresh food
• Highly organised in the kitchen on a day-to-day basis
• Enthusiasm to develop skills

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
