Junior Sql Database Administrator

Junior SQL Database Administrator (Part-time) - Spider is advertising on behalf of a direct marketing agency focusing on data-led campaigns, building & segmenting bespoke databases for customers to grow their business.

They are looking for a Junior SQL Database Administratorto join their team working on a part-time, remote basis. You will need to live within 2 hours of London or Chelmsford for a monthly meet-up.

The Junior SQL Database Administratorrole will be working from anything from pure database development to multi-channel creative campaigns, from postal flyers to zingy email broadcasts.

If you have experience in using Excel and have a knowledge of SQL, with a positive attitude towards learning and an ability to work largely unsupervised, then we’d love to hear from you.

As a Junior SQL Database Administrator, you will be an integral part of the Production team counting, outputting data to clients and assisting in the administration of the data.

You will also:

• Support the maintenance of in-house and cloud-based systems.
• Offer general IT support for the team as and when required.
• Work to deadlines and Service Level Agreements.

About you:

You will need a degree in database management or a related field, with a keen interest in computer sciences. Proficiency in Excel and MS SQL Server is crucial for the role, along with strong time management and planning skills. You will have the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, along with excellent communication and numeracy skills, is essential. You will be self-motivated, experienced in working both independently and as part of a team.

Salary is in the range of £12.50-£15 per hour depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. 28 days paid holiday pro-rata (inclusive of bank holidays).
