A permanent vacancy has arisen within our Materials Department, for a Kanban Co-ordinator, reporting to the Materials Superintendent.
Reporting to the Materials Superintendent, the main responsibility of this role is to maintain the integrity of the Materials Kanban process. This will involve:
- Reporting kanban shortages through Material Planners
- Assist in the implementation of ECN’s
- Maintaining kanban levels, setting up containers, kanban sizing and kanban database, label printing using SAP/Flowbase 400
- Escheduling management of orders required for line
- Daily processing of NRK’s
- Carrying out regular audits of the kanban pull sequences
- Providing support for the introduction of supplier kanban and returnable packaging
- Control of material throughout the plant
- Assist with the development of SAP relating to the kanban process
- Manage existing suppliers on the faxban process
- Maintaining effective communication with the Materials DFT teams
In order to be considered for this position applicants must meet the following essential criteria:
- Have at least 1 years’ working experience of SAP
- Excellent IT skills and written English
- Have a counterbalance forklift licence
- Able to work shifts if required
The ideal candidate will also meet the following desirable criteria:
- Knowledge of Flowbase
