My client, a leading global logistics provider is looking to recruit a Key Account Manager to look after one of its major retail fashion clients.
The Account Manager will be focused on driving the ongoing success of the client to help the client meet their strategic pillars, working across the company's functions and the relevant client departments/functions.
Spending at least 20% of their time at client offices and the remainder of the time based remotively from home and the Heathrow office.
ROLE: Key Account Manager - Fashion Retail Logistics
LOCATION: London/Heathrow/Remote working/20% time spent at client sites
PACKAGE: up to £80k plus 20% bonus, car allowance, up to 30 days annual leave and other benefits
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain the Account Plan to increase both our revenue & margin.
- Provide a single point of contact for the clients on all matters relating to the logistics services provided by by the company. Be subject matter expert for all customer requirements
- Relationship management: Network at all levels of client organisation, Merchandising, IT, wholesalers, Retail stores. Become the first point of contact.
- Work closely with the internal functions (e.g. ISC, eSolutions) and/or other providers to optimise the overall supply chain from point of supply to point of consumption
- Monitor the performance of the Client DC Operations and provide reports and updates as agreed with the client
- Support the Operations to achieve and exceed service levels
- Arrange and conduct periodic business reviews, Weekly calls, Monthly and Quarterly business reviews for all brands
- Track P&L performance of the account, and report periodically to internal stakeholders
- Develop and create management reporting packs as required
- Provide timely updates to the client on supply chain issues and service failures with proposed resolutions and recovery plans
- Regularly review the strategies of the client to ensure company is optimising space and resources to meet future plans.
- Own the Change Control process

- Drive a culture of Continuous Improvement (CI)
- Own the process for implementation and delivery of CI initiatives
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Detailed Knowledge and experience of the retail and fashion logistics market
- Excellent communication & presentation skills to board level
- Planning and Problem solving: Demonstrate a strong track record of problem solving and solid analytical skill capability to look at and find solutions for a variety of operational challenges.

- Change / Transformational Management
- Advanced MS Office (Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Commercially aware, open book & activity based commercial models. Understanding of P&L budgeting
- (Prince 2) Project Methodology experience.
- Client Management and Communication: Ability to develop, manage, and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to help support planning and goals.
