Job description

Job Title: Key Account Manager - Medical Sales

Location: Field Based (London / South / M3 / M4 / M25)

Salary: up to £60k + uncapped bonus (£30k+) + car allowance (£640) + benefits

Job Purpose

Reporting to the CEO working within the Hospital Channel as part of a team. The focus of this role will be the promotion and profitable sales of their Medical Devices product range.

  • Manage the sales territory to achieve agreed sales objectives
  • Understand and use the NHS supplies and logistics function
  • Develop sales plans, strategies, and objectives.
  • Identify, build rapport with and manage key decision makers and opinion leaders.

Main Accountabilities

  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Develop and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with KEY ACCOUNTs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address client concerns and proactively provide solutions.
  • Sales Growth and Target Achievement:
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue from key clients to achieve agreed sales targets in line with the company business plan.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within KEY ACCOUNTs to drive sales growth in line with business objectives and company values in the public and independent sectors.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Continually update the business plan with relevant information.
  • Product Knowledge and Training:
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of our product portfolio and stay updated on advancements in the industry.
  • Conduct training sessions for clients to ensure they are well-informed about product features, benefits, and applications.
  • Ensure that knowledge of product and company features, competitive advantages and benefits is up to date, including pricing.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management:
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with key clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements preparing contract prices and tender documentation, in conjunction with all relevant staff as appropriate to achieve company profit targets.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to review and finalise contracts.
  • Sales Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare regular sales reports and performance metrics for KEY ACCOUNTs.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Record and report customer and account information, sales activity levels and monitor and report on market and competitor activities in line with company procedure.
  • To attend seminars, exhibitions or meetings as directed.
