Job Role: Kitchen/Hospitality Assistant
Job Type: Contract
Duration: Until the end of June 2024
Location: Easterhouse, Glasgow
Hourly Rate: £12ph
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 0830 to 1630 (35 hours per week)
My client is looking for a Kitchen Porter to cover sickness within the team. This is a temporary position until the end of June 2024.
Duties
- Preparing food requisitions
- Prepare hospitality requests for meetings such as laying out sandwiches, cups, saucers and clear away
- Check, unpack and store all incoming food provisions
- Note, check and order all food items, cleaning materials and disposable goods required by Service Industries, Kitchen and Hospitality function
- Answer and deal with telephone and email messages
- Prepare food trolleys
- Deal with all perishable foods as appropriate
- Keeping the kitchen area and equipment, including the fridges clean and tidy
Skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work independently with limited supervision
- Working as part of a team
- Working under pressure to deliver to deadline
Experience
- Previous experience of handling and preparing food in a busy environment
Qualification
- Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate, or willing to obtain
