Aramark have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to work within our catering team at HMP Rye Hill, Rugby, CV23 8SY working in the Staff Restaurant & Visits Kiosk.
This is a customer facing role and requires a proactive individual.

What you'll be doing
The role we are recruiting for is a kitchen assistant, working in the staff restaurant, which also doubles up as a prisoner training kitchen where we teach NVQ Catering qualifications to prisoners.
You would be expected to work alongside the training manager to ensure the smooth running of the staff mess/training kitchen, as well as working in the visits kiosks serving hot drinks & snacks.
We serve breakfast & Lunch to staff within the prison Monday - Friday.
Hours of work would generally be between 09:00am & 16:00pm Monday - Friday, but some weekends would be required to cover holiday of current weekend visits staff.
- Ensuring back of house is cleaned, floors cleaned, pots, pans and general work areas cleaned.
- Front of house cleaned daily as per cleaning schedule.
- Follow correct food hygiene rules, correct personal hygiene, comply with H&S requirements.
- Follow and complete cleaning schedules.
- Complete all on-line training
- Assist in food preparation and cooking.
- Serve food and beverages to customers.
- Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards identified during the course of the work Perform daily paperwork Follow food hygiene and safety procedures
Experience
- Previous experience would be an advantage but on the job training will be provided.
- Must be over 18 and able to clear security checks / have 5 years worth of address history in the UK.
- Great team player, flexible with shift patterns

- DBS check required
