Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Garment Technologist to join our clients team. The Garment Technologist will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will work closely with our design and production teams to ensure that products are developed and produced efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the design team to ensure that all products meet the required quality standards.
- Develop technical specifications and review sample garments to ensure that they meet the required quality standards.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure that materials and components meet our quality standards.
- Ensure that all products meet safety standards and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure that products are developed and produced efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct fit sessions and make necessary adjustments to patterns and samples to ensure that garments fit correctly.
- Monitor production processes to ensure that products are produced to the required quality standards.
- Manage and maintain product testing records and report results to the relevant teams.
- Continuously review and improve product development and production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Garment Technologist, preferably in the apparel industry.
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction techniques and manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of fabric properties and testing methods.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office .
