KS1 Class Teaching Assistant

An inclusive and vibrant primary school in Islington is seeking a dedicated KS1 Class Teaching Assistant to join their team in February 2024 for a full-time position for the academic year (2024/2025). The successful candidate will receive training, experience, high progressive pay & the opportunity to take part in Teacher Training on a Permanent Contract.

• Supporting a class in either Year 1 or Year 2
• Performing reading & writing interventions
• Helping students on various learning levels and needs (including working with SEN/SEMH)
• Creating a holistic & progressive learning environment while liaising with professionals (e.g. SENCo, Class Teacher, Educational Psychologists, Headteacher etc)

Our Ideal KS1 Class Teaching Assistant:

• Brings prior experience (either professional or personal) engaging with children with various needs including SEN & SEMH
• Holds aspirations of shaping young minds as an educator in the future
• Strong academic background - A-Levels, B-tec, Degree etc
• Local to Islington (Open to individuals who live in Camden, Haringey, Hackney & Islington)
• Beneficial for aspiring Primary Teachers
