The role of Nursery Teaching Assistant will include supporting children between the ages of newborns and 5-year-olds.
Candidates will play a vital role in supporting the educational, social, and emotional development of children in our nursery setting.
As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, this role will include providing general and special needs Teaching Assistant duties.

As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will be required to:

• Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and support strategies for children with special needs, under the guidance of our SENCO and nursery management team.


• Provide one-on-one or small group support to children, assist with social skills development, and behaviour management.


• Maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children and always adhering to safeguarding procedures and policies.


• As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will need to monitor and record the child's progress.


• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the nursery, promoting respect, understanding, and acceptance among all children.

The ideal candidate for a Nursery Teaching Assistant will have:

• Nursery Teaching Assistants will need to have experience of working with children, ideally in a nursery or early years educational setting.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.


• Some experience supporting children with special needs, ideally knowledge of strategies for behaviour management, communication support, and sensory integration.


• An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to undergo one.


• Minimum of Level 2 qualification in childcare, early years education, or a related field.
