Role Overview:

As a Key Stage 1 Teacher, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in laying the foundation for students' academic and personal development. This full-time position involves working with children aged 5 to 7 years, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering creative and interactive lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum, catering to the diverse needs of students.
  • Differentiating instruction to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities, ensuring every child's success.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn.
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth and development.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders to support students' holistic development and well-being.
  • Participating in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events to contribute to the school community and stay updated on best practices in education.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A recognised teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably within a UK school setting.
  • A thorough understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and the ability to effectively plan and deliver lessons that meet curriculum objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their academic and personal development.
  • Enhanced DBS Clearance or willingness to undergo the necessary checks.
